Kinship and Sumptuous

In this Kids trends AW25/26, we are producing garments in our workshops that will soon arriving to the shops, and we want you to know what will find in the showcases.

In the last edition, Playtime Paris presented together with the trend agency Future Snoops, what will be the trends in children’s fashion this autumn.

These trends classified into Kinship and Sumptuous, each one of these classifications serve as a guide for inspiration.

Kinship

At first, in Kinship we rediscover our connection to nature and craft practices. The designs emphasise natural materials. The looks showcase an opulence with materials that are tactile and rich in detail. Abundant in vivid colours and indulgent textures, the looks flaunt the many natural phenomena. Kinship is based on knitted fabrics, exploring textures through patterns and graphics.

In short, kinship exalt craftsmanship, born out of a very current need: to reconnect. With our roots, with our families, with what is handmade, with that which transmits affection.

The usage guide for this trend express three forms, Palettes, Shapes and Materials:

Warm and natural palettes, vivid colours emulating those of autumnal nature.
Soft and enveloping shapes, kind in the face of an evening and melancholic season.
Natural, durable and close materials, following the wonderful trend of going back to nature and heritage, materials such as wool and cotton, from quality, local producers, are worn. .

At Beberlis, this trend is reflected in Brooklyn and Essentials lines, where earth tones, matte finishes and classic models such as Mary Janes, boots, ballerinas and mocassins, designed to be passed down from generation to generation, predominate. It is not about nostalgia, but about valuing what lasts and what is cared for.
Moreover, we produce each pair in our workshop in Villena, where the know-how is passed down from father to son, as part of a legacy. Kinship is also that: community, family, belonging.

Sumptuous

Next trend is sumptuous, represents a sensory kaleidoscope where the design offers both comfort and luxury, inspired in the universe of children’s design to go beyond conventional limts, we appreciate a certain kitsch reminiscence in this style. It proposes unusual combinations that give rise to new silhouettes, asymmetrical details and unexpected colour contrasts. Joy and self-expression take centre stage, recovering that boundless imagination and spontaneity that only children possess. Sumptuous awakens the senses with creative details, bringing a deeper emotional dimension and a different way of relating to the clothes they wear.

In children’s fashion, Sumptuous translates to:

Vibrant and intense colours that give life to exaggerated silhouettes.
Strident and extravagant shapes with daring and unexpected forms, the aim is to lose the fear of breaking the mould.
Materials with a tactile appearance: nappas, velvets, flexible soles.

In casual line found Sumptuous designs, with glitter and neon leathers that accentuate the kitsch essence of this style, and in our Brooklyn line present designs with velvet leathers and natural textures waiting to be combined with the most extravagant outfits.
